FGRP will be planting trees to support the community and increase the tree diversity and give everyone a safe and lasting place to enjoy. Every helping hand gathered will be greatly appreciated as the efforts of volunteers are what helps drive these events and programs.
If you believe you’ll be able to attend and help, you’ll want to bring clothes that can get dirty, closed-toe shoes, and maybe some water. Friends of Grand Rapids Parks provides the tools, trees, and training. This project is supported by the US Forest Service through the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative.
When: Saturday, April 12 from 9a-1p
Where: Dickinson Buffer Park (approximately 1640 Paris SE)
Please register for this event on-line by going to the volunteer center, or contact Lee Mueller (616 389 4687 or email@example.com)
